Peer Support

Mankind - Informal support group for Men

  Man Kind

We run an informal support group for men every Wednesday here at the Wellbeing Centre.

The group is facilitated by volunteers with the aim of encouraging men to meet, talk, share experiences, support  each other and make friends. Its an informal and friendly group and all are welcome.

There is no need to book, you can just call in on the day and join the guys for a brew and a chat. If you are   seeking advice or information, volunteers can signpost you to appropriate support and share resources.

If you would like to attend the group runs from 2.00 - 4.00 every Wednesday

if you would like further information before attending you can call  0114 258 4489

Friendly Friday's at the Wellbeing Centre

In addition, we run a mixed drop in on a Friday that all are welcome to attend. Our Friendly Friday socials are proving to be a big hit and

visitors will recieve a warm welcome from the volunteers who can help introduce them to other guests and to facilitate activities, games, quizzes etc

This is an informal get together and not a therapeutic group but we encourage peer support.

There is a weekly art group runs alongside the social sessions and visitors can participate for a small donation of £2.00 which we use to cover the costs of materials.
